24th Annual Prairie Day Goose Lake Prairie State Natural Area 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 18th, 2021 TRAVELING AMERICAN INDIAN EXHIBIT Allday on the Front Lawn IT'S A PRAIRIE CELEBRATION! Special Events include: Scales and Tails with Beth Wagner at 10:30 a.m. Coal Black Exotics with Bill Bradley at 12:30 p.m. Illinois Storm Catchers with Nick Barlith at 2:00 p.m. All Day Events include: Lou Aiello and the American Indian Traveling Exhibit. Illinois Conservation Police Wildlife Mobile Exhibit. Park Amenities such as Picnic Areas, Visitor's Center Museum, Observation Deck, Butterfly Barn- Plant Nursery, Cragg Cabin Rebuild, and Park Trails. Wagon Rides at 10 :30 a.m., 12 noon, 1:15 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. are tentative; Narration with Chris Danek, Prairie Partner. Prairie Partners will open the Food Shop from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. serving Hot Dogs, Brats and Bison Burgers. The Gift Shop will be open all day. Lou Aiello will offer the opportunities to make Dream Catchers and practice Indian Dances.
